Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, credits, subscriptions, paid plans, job posting packages, profile unlocks, contact unlocks, featured listings, and other paid services are handled on Workafy.

This policy applies to users who purchase paid services from Workafy Technologies Private Limited (“Workafy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By purchasing any paid service on Workafy, you agree to this Refund & Cancellation Policy, our Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy.

1. Paid Services on Workafy
Workafy may offer paid services including, but not limited to:
• Employer subscriptions
• Recruiter plans
• Job posting packages
• Featured job listings
• Candidate profile views
• Contact unlocks
• Resume database access
• Application management tools
• Hiring credits
• Promotional plans
• Custom hiring packages
• Any other paid feature introduced by Workafy
The pricing, validity, benefits, limits, and usage rules of each paid service will be displayed at the time of purchase or communicated separately by Workafy.

2. General Refund Principle
Payments made for digital services, subscriptions, credits, profile unlocks, contact unlocks, job postings, featured listings, promotional services, and used platform benefits are generally non-refundable once the service has been activated, used, consumed, or made available to the user.

Workafy does not guarantee hiring outcomes, candidate responses, job applications, interview calls, job offers, profile quality, project completion, or any specific result from using paid services.

Therefore, refunds will not be granted merely because a user does not receive the expected hiring or job outcome.

3. Cases Where Refunds May Be Considered
Workafy may consider a refund, credit adjustment, or plan correction in the following situations:
• Duplicate payment for the same service
• Payment deducted but plan/credits not activated due to technical failure
• Payment captured but order not created
• Incorrect amount charged due to a platform error
• Service not delivered due to a verified issue from Workafy’s side
• Any other exceptional case approved by Workafy after internal review
All refund requests are subject to verification.

4. Cases Where Refunds Will Not Be Provided
Refunds will generally not be provided in the following cases:
• Change of mind after purchase
• Non-usage of purchased credits, plans, or features
• Expiry of plan validity or credits
• Low number of candidate responses
• Low number of job applications
• Inability to hire a candidate
• Inability to get hired
• Employer not liking candidate profiles after unlocking
• Candidate not responding after contact details are unlocked
• Job post rejection due to policy violation
• Account suspension due to misuse, fraud, spam, fake jobs, abuse, or violation of Workafy policies
• Incorrect details entered by the user
• Unauthorised use caused by sharing login credentials
• Partial usage of a plan or package
• Promotional, discounted, bundled, trial, or custom plans, unless specifically stated otherwise
• Any service already consumed, including contact unlocks, profile views, resume downloads, or featured listing duration already used.

5. Contact Unlocks and Profile Views
Contact unlocks, profile views, resume downloads, and similar features are considered consumed once the information is made visible, downloaded, accessed, or otherwise provided to the user.

Refunds or reversals will not be provided for consumed contact unlocks or profile views unless there is a verified technical error or duplicate deduction from Workafy’s side.

6. Job Posting and Featured Listings
Fees paid for job postings or featured listings are non-refundable once the job post is published, reviewed, featured, promoted, or made live.

Workafy may remove, reject, hold, or restrict job posts that violate platform policies, contain misleading information, appear suspicious, or are unlawful. No refund will be provided for job posts removed due to policy violations.

If a job post is rejected due to a curable issue, Workafy may allow the user to edit and resubmit the job post at its discretion.

7. Subscription Cancellations
Users may choose not to renew a subscription or paid plan.

Cancellation of auto-renewal, if enabled, will prevent future billing but will not automatically refund the current billing cycle.

Unless specifically stated otherwise:
• Active subscriptions remain valid until the end of the purchased period.
• Unused benefits expire at the end of the subscription period.
• Partial refunds are not provided for unused days.
• Downgrades or cancellations do not reverse already consumed benefits.
• Plan benefits cannot be transferred to another user or account unless approved by Workafy.

8. Credits and Validity
Credits, job posts, unlocks, featured listings, or other plan benefits may have a defined validity period.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:
• Unused credits expire after the validity period.
• Expired credits cannot be refunded or reactivated.
• Credits have no cash value.
• Credits cannot be transferred, resold, exchanged, or withdrawn.
• Credits may be revoked if obtained through fraud, abuse, error, or policy violation.

9. Duplicate or Failed Payments
If your payment is deducted but your plan, credits, or service is not activated, please contact us with:
• Registered email address
• Payment amount
• Date and time of transaction
• Transaction ID / UTR / payment reference
• Screenshot or payment confirmation, if available

Once verified, Workafy may activate the service, issue credits, or process a refund depending on the case.

10. Refund Timelines
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method, wherever possible.

Refund timelines may depend on banks, card networks, UPI systems, payment gateways, and financial service providers.

Typically, approved refunds may take 5–10 working days to reflect, but delays may occur due to third-party payment systems or banking processes.

11. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If a user raises a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting Workafy, Workafy may suspend access to the related plan, credits, account, or paid services until the dispute is resolved.

Fraudulent chargebacks or misuse of payment dispute mechanisms may result in account suspension or legal action.

12. Taxes and Gateway Charges
Any taxes, payment gateway charges, convenience fees, foreign exchange fees, bank charges, or third-party charges may not be refundable unless required by law or approved by Workafy.

Invoices, GST details, or billing corrections should be requested within a reasonable time after payment.

13. Custom Enterprise or Bulk Plans
Custom plans, enterprise packages, bulk hiring plans, annual plans, promotional plans, or specially negotiated packages may have separate commercial terms.

Such plans may be non-refundable unless expressly mentioned in the written proposal, invoice, agreement, or order confirmation.

14. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or payment correction, contact support@workafy.com.

Please include your registered email address, payment details, transaction reference, and reason for the request.

Workafy may ask for additional information to verify your claim.

15. Final Decision
Workafy reserves the right to approve, reject, partially approve, or offer credits instead of a monetary refund depending on the facts of each case, platform records, payment status, service usage, and applicable law.
