Workafy is built to help companies hire skilled talent and help professionals discover meaningful opportunities. To keep the platform safe, trustworthy, and useful for everyone, all users must follow these Community & Platform Safety Guidelines.
These Guidelines apply to candidates, job-seekers, freelancers, employers, recruiters, companies, agencies, partners, and any person using Workafy.
These Guidelines should be read together with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and Cookie Policy.
1. Our Safety Principles
Workafy’s platform safety rules are based on five principles:
• Real users
• Genuine opportunities
• Accurate information
• Respectful communication
• Responsible use of data
Users who violate these principles may face content removal, feature restrictions, account suspension, account termination, or legal action.
2. Candidate, Job-Seeker, and Freelancer Conduct
Candidates, job-seekers, freelancers, and professionals must:
• Provide accurate profile information
• Upload genuine resumes, portfolios, qualifications, and work samples
• Apply only to relevant opportunities
• Communicate professionally with employers and recruiters
• Respect employer contact details and hiring processes
• Keep account credentials secure
• Update availability, skills, experience, and contact details when needed
• Report suspicious jobs, scams, fake recruiters, or payment demands
Candidates must not:
• Upload fake resumes or misleading profiles
• Misrepresent identity, experience, education, salary, skills, or certifications
• Copy another person’s portfolio, resume, or work samples
• Apply spamfully or use automated tools to apply
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or pressure employers
• Demand money, gifts, benefits, or unlawful payments from employers
• Share employer contact details or confidential information without permission
• Use Workafy for scams, phishing, impersonation, or fraud
• Bypass Workafy’s platform rules or paid-access controls
• Upload unlawful, offensive, harmful, or misleading content
3. Employer, Recruiter, and Company Conduct
Employers, recruiters, companies, agencies, and business users must:
• Post genuine and lawful hiring requirements
• Provide accurate company and job information
• Clearly describe job role, work type, location, salary/budget range where possible, experience requirements, and responsibilities
• Use candidate data only for legitimate hiring purposes
• Communicate respectfully with candidates
• Honour commitments made during the hiring process
• Comply with applicable employment, labour, tax, privacy, and anti-discrimination laws
• Report suspicious profiles, fake candidates, or fraudulent activity
Employers and recruiters must not:
• Post fake jobs or misleading opportunities
• Post jobs with no genuine hiring intent
• Ask candidates to pay money for jobs, interviews, onboarding, training, equipment, background checks, or placements
• Use candidate data for spam, resale, marketing, scraping, or unrelated purposes
• Share candidate resumes, phone numbers, emails, or personal data with unauthorised parties
• Discriminate unlawfully based on gender, caste, religion, race, disability, age, marital status, nationality, or any protected characteristic
• Post adult content, gambling opportunities, illegal work, hate-based roles, political manipulation roles, or unlawful schemes
• Send phishing links, malware, suspicious forms, or fake offer letters
• Use Workafy to promote pyramid schemes, chain marketing, fake internships, commission scams, or unrealistic earning schemes
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or exploit candidates
4. Job Posting Rules
All job posts should be clear, accurate, and lawful.
A good job post should include:
• Job title
• Company name
• Job type
• Location or remote status
• Experience level
• Skills required
• Role responsibilities
• Salary, stipend, project budget, or compensation range where possible
• Application process
• Any required qualifications or work conditions
Workafy may reject or remove job posts that:
• Are fake, misleading, duplicate, or expired
• Ask candidates to pay money
• Promote scams or unrealistic earnings
• Contain discriminatory language
• Contain adult, illegal, hateful, abusive, or harmful content
• Misrepresent the employer, role, salary, or work conditions
• Redirect users to suspicious websites or external payment pages
• Contain spam, excessive keywords, or unrelated promotions
• Violate applicable law or Workafy policies
5. Prohibited Content
Users must not post, upload, transmit, or share content that:
• Is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or harmful
• Promotes scams, phishing, impersonation, malware, or hacking
• Contains hate speech, harassment, threats, abuse, or intimidation
• Contains sexually explicit, adult, obscene, or exploitative content
• Promotes violence, weapons, terrorism, illegal drugs, illegal services, or criminal activity
• Violates intellectual property rights
• Violates privacy, confidentiality, or data protection rights
• Contains fake documents, fake certifications, fake identities, or forged material
• Contains spam, mass messaging, irrelevant promotions, or deceptive links
• Is defamatory, discriminatory, or harmful to other users or Workafy
6. Data Misuse Rules
Candidate and employer data must be handled responsibly.
Users must not:
• Scrape, crawl, copy, export, sell, or harvest platform data
• Share candidate contact details outside authorised hiring purposes
• Build external databases using Workafy data
• Use unlocked contact details for spam or unrelated marketing
• Publish resumes, phone numbers, emails, or private information without consent
• Use automated tools, bots, scripts, or browser extensions to extract data
• Access another user’s account or data without permission
• Circumvent contact unlocks, profile limits, paid plans, or platform restrictions
Violation of data misuse rules may result in immediate account termination and legal action.
7. Communication Rules
All communication through or because of Workafy should be professional, respectful, and relevant.
Users must not:
• Send abusive, threatening, hateful, or harassing messages
• Send repeated unwanted messages
• Send irrelevant sales pitches or spam
• Send phishing links, suspicious files, or malware
• Mislead users with fake offers or false claims
• Pressure candidates or employers into payments or decisions
• Share confidential information without permission
8. Payments and Financial Safety
Workafy strongly advises candidates to be cautious of any employer, recruiter, or third party asking for money in exchange for a job, interview, offer letter, training, onboarding, laptop, background check, or placement.
Candidates should report such requests immediately.
Employers must not collect unlawful or misleading payments from candidates through Workafy.
Users are responsible for verifying any external payment, contract, offer, or engagement before proceeding.
9. Platform Moderation
Workafy may review, moderate, hold, reject, remove, restrict, or disable any profile, job post, message, document, content, account, or feature access if it violates these Guidelines, our Terms, applicable law, or platform safety standards.
Workafy may also use automated systems, manual review, user reports, keyword triggers, suspicious activity detection, or verification checks to identify misuse.
Workafy is not obligated to publish, keep live, or restore any content that violates its policies.
10. Reporting Violations
Users can report suspicious activity, fake jobs, scams, harassment, data misuse, payment demands, fake profiles, or policy violations by contacting support@workafy.com.

• Link or screenshot of the issue
• Name of the user/company/job post involved
• Description of the concern
• Any supporting evidence
